Berlengas Pass
What is it, how much does it cost and where can I buy it?
Anyone interested in visiting the island of Berlengas must register and pay an access fee, so that access to the island is controlled and does not exceed 550 people at any one time. The platform where this registration and payment is made can be accessed at https://berlengaspass.icnf.pt/.
The ticket costs €3 per person aged between 18 and 65. For ages 6 to 18 and over 65, the fee is €1.5. Children under the age of 6 do not pay a fee, but must register in the same way.
Important tips:
- The berlengapass fee is not included in the price of the boat ticket to the Berlengas.
- You should preferably register at the same time as you buy your berlengas boat ticket to ensure that there are vacancies on both sites: berlengapass and the berlengas tour ticket agency.
- If you are unable to register and/or pay, you can contact the operator where you want to buy Berlengas boat tickets and they will be able to help you with registration and payment.
How far in advance do I have to buy my tickets for Berlengas?
Berlengas Island has a daily limit of 550 visitors, which makes buying tickets in advance essential, especially during the busiest seasons.
The busiest period is between mid-May and the first week of October. Within this range, the high season is concentrated between mid-July and the beginning of September – when places sell out very quickly.
If you plan to visit the island during the high season, it is recommended that you buy your tickets at least 2 weeks in advance. Outside this period, booking 1 week in advance is usually sufficient, although it is always preferable not to leave it to the last minute.
